The Town of Vanscoy is already seeing the effects of the $ 1.5 billion expansion at Agrium's potash mine.

Mayor Jerome Robert says they're seeing an increase in business and more traffic in their 375 person town.

“We have a development going on right now, which we call phase one, there’s about approximately 45 lots for say, I believe there’s ten or twelve sold already,” explained Roberts. 

Robert says they've been aware of the expansion, set to be completed in 2014, for about 3 years now.
