The University of Saskatchewan's veterinary clinic is getting a new name to better reflect what it does.

Instead of the Western College of Vet Med teaching hospital, it will now be called the Western College of Vet Med medical centre.

In a news release the college's dean said the building has expanded to more than just a teaching hospital, and has been internationally recognized for its research and clinical services.
