Police are connecting the deaths of two individuals found dead in Rapid View, Saskatchewan to the arrest in Prince Albert Monday morning of man with a weapon.

After the quick response by Prince Albert police Monday morning to an armed individual in a vehicle on near Rivier Academy, many were lead to believe it was a standalone incident.

However recent details released by the Meadow Lake RCMP Monday afternoon begin to weave a possibly disturbing connection to this armed individual.

After he was taken into custody Meadow Lake RCMP received a call about two dead bodies found at a Rapid View area residence.

Rapid View is a little more than 25 kilometres west of Meadow Lake.

The deaths are considered sudden and suspicious by the RCMP and officers believe they are connected to the individual taken into custody.

The suspect is in the process of being turned over to the RCMP.

Meadow Lake RCMP are being assisted by the RCMP Major Crimes Unit north, Forensics Identification Section members from North Battleford and the RCMP Prince Albert GIS unit in further investigating this matter.

The names of the deceased or the arrested individual have not yet been released.
