Saskatoon officer charged with assault
Charges come after a domestic dispute during the weekend

A Saskatoon police officer is in court this morning, charged with assault after a domestic dispute on the weekend.
Mark Franklin, 39, was arrested Sunday at about 9:30 p.m. after officers responded to the 2200 block of Ewart Avenue to a report of a domestic incident.
When police arrived they found a 39-year-old woman suffering from minor injuries. She did not require hospitalization.
Franklin has been with the police service for about 1.5 years and has been reassigned to administrative duty while the case is before the courts.
