A 19-year-old Saskatoon man was given a nine month conditional sentence Tuesday after assaulting a transit operator last year.
Police said on December 29, Vincent Cyrus Williamson pepper sprayed a bus driver after he was not allowed on the vehicle because he was intoxicated. The incident happened just after 10 p.m.
Williamson pleaded guilty to assault with a prohibited weapon, uttering threats against a peace officer, breach of probation and breach of undertaking.
The 19-year-old will to undergo addictions and anger management assessments; and will be required to see a counselor. Williamson will also not be allowed to consume alcohol or drugs and will perform 40 hours of community service.
