The Saskatoon Hilltops defense stood tall in a 10-7 win over the Edmonton Wildcats at Gordie Howe Bowl on Sunday. Mike Prebble and Chris Friesen had interceptions, while Brett Pisio, Donovan Dale and Adam Morrison had sacks for Saskatoon in a defensive battle.
Scoring was limited. Zach Schmidt broke a 7-7 tie with a 20 yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
The Hilltops lone touchdown came on a Chase Bradshaw 19 yard run late in the second quarter. With 1:02 remaining in the half the Wildcats responded as Andrew Johnson caught a second quarter td pass.
The Hilltops are now 6 and 0, while the Wildcats are 1 and 5.
