Nearly 100 bright and lively floats filled downtown with music and excitement today during the Saskatoon Exhibition Parade.
From city councillors to armored police vehicles, University of Saskatchewan Huskies, horses and Batoche -- each float offered a cultural snapshot of the city.
Mayor Don Atchison threw on a cowboy hat and took part in the festivities on horseback.
The parade is only the start of a week filled with festivities.
The gates to the exhibition fair grounds open at 3 p.m.
