Summer will be delayed at a hand full of Saskatchewan's provincial parks this year.

The province has announced that Rowans's Ravine and Katepwa Point will be closed to the public until June because of flooding. Regina Beach will also be closed, as will boat launches and fish filleting shacks at those sites, as well as Buffalo Pound, Echo Valley and Crooked Lake until further notice.

The government is promising to issue an updated status report before the May long weekend.

Until then campers are being asked to check for updates.
