Rumours that Regina’s Harbour Landing has cracked basements, sinking foundations and flooding issues are false, according to an engineering investigation conducted by Stantec.
Dundee Developments, who commissioned the 800-page report, released the results of the investigation on Friday.
Vice-president of Dundee Developments, Ned Kosteniuk noted that not one property owner or builder had come forward to substantiate the claims.
The report included the following issues:
- There was no evidence of salty soil;
- The land, therefore the foundation conditions, are no different than most areas in Regina;
- Harbour Landing meets all City of Regina and CMHC noise codes, with respect to rumours about noise complaints due to aircraft;
- No property owners or builders came forward to complain about cracked or sinking basements.
