Regina celebrates Canada Day
It's been 145 years since Canada became a country.
From coast to coast Canadians are commemorating Canada Day.
In Regina, celebrations start in front of the legislative building at noon.
There are a number of activities going on; Western Canada's strongman competition, the Wascana Authority mascot challenge, and the great Canadian skip-off.
Live music will also be on hand tonight - Kenny Shields and Streetheart will perform on the mainstage at 9 p.m and fireworks will explode at 10:30 tonight.
More information on Canada Day activities can be found here.
Albert street will be closed just north of Regina Avenue from 9:30 p.m to 11:30 p.m.
Regina Transit will not be operating Sunday, but service will resume on the holiday Monday.
