Rawlyk named head coach of U of S basketball team
Former assistant and interim coach promoted to head coach

The Huskies men's basketball team promoted Barry Rawlyk to head coach on Monday.
Rawlyk joined the program in 2007-08 as an assistant coach, then took over as interim coach two years ago. In 2010-11 Rawlyk led the Huskies to a fourth place finish at the CIS championship. In 2011-12 he led the Huskies to a 16-4 record as the team hosted the Canada West final four for the first time, where the Huskies finished with a bronze medal.
Prior to joining the Huskies, Rawlyk spent more than two decades as coach of the Holy Cross Crusaders, where he led to program 11 city titles and three provincial championships.
