Potash Corp is releasing information about what they believe caused an underground fire at the Rocanville mine.
No one was hurt when fire broke out in the early hours of Sept. 25, but it was 18 hours before the miners could safely return to the surface.
A wooden cable spool heated up as it was dragged about 16 kilometres from the mine entrance.
The company says it may switch to steel spools, or change how the spools are transported through the mines to avoid any future fires.
