Organizers of the Craven Country Jamboree on Friday announced that their campgrounds are dry and will be open to festival goers.

"We took some time in the fall to flatten out the ground because there were some ruts here and there," said organizer Kim Blevins.

The announcement comes after flooding last spring drowned out the popular campgrounds near the grandstand.

"Obviously, we had to invest in some pumps last year so we do have some equipment if we needed to pump out an area," said Blevin of the prep work involved in getting the grounds ready.

This year's festival runs from July 12th to the 15th and features country music favourites Brad Paisley and Alan Jackson.
