Man charged after motorcycle vs truck collision in Regina
A man is being charged after a motorcycle and pickup truck collided Saturday morning.
The pickup truck had been travelling south on Retallack Street and was making a left turn onto Parliament Avenue.
The truck driver didn't see the oncoming motorcycle and so he continued into the intersection from a stop sign.
The motor cycle driver locked his brakes and laid the bike on the ground. The truck tire did make contact with the motor cycle driver.
The 55-year old motorcyclist was taken to hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries.
The 77-year old truck driver is being charged under the traffic safety act.
Police had the intersection shut down for a while around 9 a.m. Saturday while they were investigating.
