A 50-year-old man is in critical, but stable condition after an assault and robbery in Nipawin.

RCMP were called early Sunday morning after the incident on the 300 block of Maple Road East.  The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.  Another man and a youth was arrested.  Mounties charged the pair with aggravated assault and robbery.

Both will appear in court in Melfort on Tuesday.
