A hockey player was taken to a Regina hospital after being allegedly assaulted with a hockey stick in a dressing room shower.
At about 11 p.m. on Wednesday, the Regina RCMP responded to a disturbance call at the Twin Arenas Hockey Rink.
Police said two hockey players who were ejected for fighting had been told to hit the showers.
A suspect then entered the victim’s change room while the victim was in the shower. The suspect allegedly assaulted him with a hockey stick and then fled before RCMP arrived.
The victim, 22, sustained a large cut on his head and was taken to hospital.
Police are still looking for the suspect’s whereabouts. The matter is still under investigation.
