The Saskatchewan man who shot and killed two RCMP officers is appealing his conviction.

Curtis Dagenais is serving a life sentence for the 2006 shooting and high speed chase that happened near Spiritwood.

Dagenais was found guilty on two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Constables Robin Cameron and Marc Bourdages. He was also convicted of the attempted murder of a third RCMP officer.

The case will be heard by the Saskatchewan court of appeal in late October.
