A tragedy struck the town of Preeceville during their centennial celebrations.

A 7-year-old boy was pronounced dead. The boy was injured from a float in a parade at the school grounds on Saturday.

RCMP said that there are no other details being released while officers investigate.

Preeceville in about 100 km north of Yorkton.
