Campers at Craven Country Jamboree find ways to keep cool
With temperatures at and above 30 C this week, campers out at Craven Country Jamboree are going to be feeling the heat.
Trav has been out at his site since Monday. On Tuesday, he's setting up and the heat's not getting him down.
“It would be nice if we got a little bit of rain in the morning, but other than that, it’s been perfect,” said Trav.
Further east of where he is setting up is Chad. At his campsite, he has two campers and a 25 hundred gallon pool in the middle complete with a slide.
Despite his sunburned back, he loves the heat.
“This is pretty awesome. Like even the pool only got filled on Sunday and it’s almost warm enough that you can sit in there long enough and it won’t cool you down,” said Chad.
Staying out of the sun and drinking some beer are other solutions offered by some campers for the hot weather.
