Goaltender Eetu Laurikainen made 43 stops to lead the Swift Current Broncos to a 2-1 win over the Saskatoon Blades on Friday night in Swift Current.

The Blades outshot the Broncos 13-9 in the first period as the teams exchanged goals.

Blades forward Lukas Sutter scored at the 4:25 mark, while Levi Bews responded with the tying goal 27 seconds later for the Broncos.

Laurikainen was sensational in a scoreless second period, as the Blades outshot the Broncos 16-5 in the middle frame. Graham Black scored the winning goal at the 6:21 mark of the third period.

The Blades are now 5 and 8 on the season, and host the Everett Silvertips on Saturday night at 7:05 at Credit Union Centre.
