Broncos crush Blades 10-1
The Saskatoon Blades do not look like a team capable of competing for a Memorial Cup early in the 2012-13 season.
The Swift Current Broncos blasted the Blades 10-1 on Friday night at Credit Union Centre. Adam Lowry and Levi Bews scored to give the visitors a 2-0 lead in the first period. The Blades collapsed in the second period allowing seven goals.
Blades starter Alex Moodie was pulled at the 13:28 mark of the second period after allowing seven goals on 22 shots. Lowry finished the game with two goals
and two assists for the Broncos, while Reece Scarlett's four point night
consisted of one goal and three assists. Jesse Astles had the lone Blades
goal.
The Blades are 2-4 on the season, and visit the Edmonton
Oil Kings on Saturday night.
