Environment Canada has issued a blowing snow warning for most of southern Saskatchewan.

Areas in the warning include Regina, Moose Jaw, Estevan, Swift Current, Shaunavon, Moosomin, Fort Qu'Appelle, Outlook, Kindersley and Carlyle.

So far Assiniboia and Leader aren't included in the warning, but the weather office admits those areas could eventually be included.

Look for the wind to pick up late Wednesday afternoon with wind gusts of up to 70 km/h expected until around midnight.

By the time Thursday rolls around we could see up to eight centimeters or roughly three inches of new snow as well.
