The Gold Ridge Centre was a hub of activity on Tuesday for the Battlefords Business Excellence awards.

Napa Auto Parts won the Heritage Award, recognizing pioneer and cornerstone business leaders servicing the Battlefords for at least 15 years.

Owner Jim Prescesky says they have grown along with the community throughout the years.

"We've been around a long time and I've seen businesses come and go and we've kind of stayed stable, we've expanded as we've afforded to and I think we're providing a pretty good service for the people of this area. Everybody seems pretty happy with us."

Winners in other categories included Norsask Farm Equipment, Re/Max of the Battlefords, Elias Manufacturing Ltd., Gold Eagle Casino, McGuffy's News Inc. and Pleasant View Grooming and Pet Vacations.
