Saskatchewan's Harvest Nearly Done

Northern regions trying to finish up
Story Tools

Saskatchewan's harvest is virtually complete -- finally.

99 per cent of the crop is in the bin. What's left out there is mostly flax, canola and oats.

The northeast region is 95 per cent done and the northwest stands at 97 per cent.

Crop specialist Grant McLean says oilseeds are coming off in pretty good condition, but some farmers are experiencing significant downgrading in cereals. He notes farmers with cereal crops in the swath might decide to leave them out until the spring.
