Five Saskatchewan rinks started the week at the Road to the Roar in Prince George. The tournament showcases the top 12 rinks for both the men and women in Canada, not already qualified for the Olympic curling trials in Edmonton.

Pat Simmons rink was one of the best on the mens' side, losing to Jeff Stoughton in the "A" Final but Simmons pulled off two wins on Friday, including the "B" Final and a ticket to the Canadian Olympic Curling Trials in early December. Simmons joins Stoughton, Kevin Martin, Kevin Koe, Randy Ferby and Glenn Howard on the men's side at the Roar of the Rings. Saskatchewan's Stefanie Lawton has already qualified for the women's draw along with Jennifer Jones, Cheryl Bernard and Shannon Kleibrink. Amber Holland joined them with a win in the "C" Final on Saturday night.

The other three rinks from the province, Sherry Anderson, Michelle Englot and Joel Jordison were eliminated.
