A Saskatchewan-based website is hoping to make things a little easier for brides and grooms-to-be.

www.saskweddings.com is a resource site for local couples that features Saskatchewan businesses.

Director Trevor Chilton says his goals were to help make wedding planning easier, promote local businesses, and get brides and grooms some deals.

And that includes giving the local newspapers some competition.

Chilton says they have a page where couples can post their wedding announcement and photo for free, and then direct their friends and families to it.

The website also has detailed links to the necessary government forms and procedures to have a wedding in this province.

Chilton says there are about five thousand weddings in Saskatchewan a year, and it's a 1.25 million dollar-a-year industry.
