Story Tools

A bizarre incident shut down Regina police headquarters to the public Saturday afternoon.

Police say around 4 p.m., a man walked in carrying a large Rubbermaid container, waited his turn at the front desk, then said that the container was "nuclear".

The bomb squad responded, the container was X-rayed, and it turned out to contain clothing and cleaning supplies.

Police say the man was taken into the care of the mental health unit.
