Highways Slippery in Parts of Province

Freezing rain warning issued for northwest
Story Tools

Some slippery roads are reported in northern Saskatchewan. The Highway Hotline says good winter driving conditions exist in most parts of the province. But around Prince Albert, Tisdale, Meadow Lake and La Ronge, there are reports of slippery sections as well as some snow-packed segments.

In fact, Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Meadow Lake and Buffalo Narrows areas. Lloydminster was originally included in the warning, but that has since ended.

Around Saskatoon, road conditions are generally good, although motorists might encounter some sections of packed snow.
