Glitch Shuts Down Cards at Liquor Stores

No Credit, Debit Transactions Being Processed

It's a big weekend for entertaining with the Grey Cup taking place on Sunday. But anyone welcoming guests who hasn't already stocked up on beverages may be in trouble.

Liquor stores across the province were without debit or credit card service Friday afternoon.

David Morris with Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority says he understands this might be an inconvenient time.
Morris said they were hoping to have things working soon, Friday evening or Saturday morning.

Why is this news???? I work in Retail in our machines have gone down in the past and the "media" doesn't cover it.

I can see if it was a complete system blackout but having it as a lead story for one business, must be a slow news day!!!
