2008 Schmirler Classic Is Set

The 2008 CUETS/Sandra Schmirler charity curling classic will go at the Callie at the end of the month. Organizers telling us Thursday 30 rinks will be taking part looking for the first place prize of 12-thousand dollars. In all, just over 47 thousand dollars in prize money is available. Some of the top rinks in Saskatchewan including defending provincial champ Michelle Englot will take part. Another rink coming in is the Chinese rink skipped by Bingyu Wang. Her foursome turned heads at the 2008 Womens World Championship as she went all the way to the final before losing to Jennifer Jones. For ticket info, contact the Callie at 525-8171.
