For one reason or another the Saskatchewan Roughriders have been snubbed when it comes to player of the week awards but they have now taken two player of the month awards. Linebacker Maurice Lloyd is one of the reasons why the Rider D is number one in the CFL. He was named the league's top defensive player for August joining Wes Cates who was the offensive player of the year in July. Cates, Lloyd and the rest of the Riders are getting ready for Sunday's game in Winnipeg as they take on the Bombers in the Banjo Bowl looking to ride their record to 8-2.
