RSHOF Unveils Class of 2008

The Regina Sports Hall of Fame let us know who its 2008 inductees will be Wednesday afternoon. This year’s inductees into the Regina Sports Hall of Fame are Doug Killoh (athlete; multi-sport); Ken Picot (builder; football); Doug Mader (athlete; golf); Kevin Holness (athlete; soccer); the 1954 Regina Govins Senior A women’s softball team; and the 2000-01 University of Regina Cougars women’s basketball team.There are now 36 inductees in the Regina Sports Hall of Fame – 13 builders, seven teams, two patrons and 14 athletes. There are also 150 honourary members with Regina connections who had previously been inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame. Inductees are honoured at a display site inside the main lobby of the University of Regina’s Centre for Kinesiology, Health and Sport.The RSHF’s sixth annual induction ceremony is slated for October 9 at the Regina Inn.
