The Green Bay Packers have cut Regina born punter Jon Ryan. The Regina Rams product had been expected to be the team's punter for the 3rd straight season. Ryan had performed well in the pre=season kicking for an average of 48 yards. He averaged 44 and half yards a punt for the Packers last year.

Sounds like BS politics to me. I hope he signs with another team very quickly and is the best punter in NFL this year.

Get him to Regina, the Riders punter got injured Sunday.
Jon would be great to fill in for a game or two.

Ryan cut by Packers

How convenient that Ryan comes free when Boreham goes down with an injury. I suspect, however, Ryan will want to check out NFL options before coming back to Canada.
