Liberal Leader Stephane Dion's "Green Shift" policy continues to anger many in the west, including lawyer Doug Christie.

The longtime supporter of Western separation is once again calling for secession, with Dion's policy the biggest reason.

Christie joined Newstalk Radio's John Gormley Live Tuesday and insists whether it's the Liberal proposal or a Tory government with a western leader, Ottawa is all the same. "He's taking the resources of the west and bribing the voters of the east. Every man, woman, and child in Nova Scotia got a windfall of $850 million windfall...$1,000 apiece to keep them happy in confederation. That's from the same Harper government that claims to represent the west."

While admitting we are a long way from a separate west, Christie says his Western Block Party is receiving more inquires and support since the Liberal policy was unveiled.
