Nature Work Continues for Lorne Scott
Named to the Order of Canada
It's a secret he had to keep for a couple of weeks... until Canada Day.
Calls of congratulation have been coming in from far and wide for Lorne Scott. The Indian Head resident is a member of the newest group of appointments to the Order of Canada. It's for his nature work, from building nest boxes as a young man to working for the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, to Wascana Centre park naturalist, and provincial Environment minister. And his work continues, with groups such as Nature Saskatchewan.
The announcement from the Governor General's office says the appointment is for Scott's "longtime contributions to nature conservancy".
