Bob McCown has been in broadcasting since 1975, having started at CKFH Toronto (now THE FAN 590).

In 1977 he launched "Talking of Sports," a nightly sports call-in and interview show, the first of its kind in Canada.

In 1981 he went to the Global Television Network where he developed SportsLine, the first nightly long-form sports summary program. McCown hosted the program until 1984.

In 1988 he returned to radio and four years later, launched Canada’s first all-sports radio station, the FAN.

Bob has appeared on every major television network in North America over the years, either as a guest or host.

McCown has been the CEO of TOS Sports Services, Inc., since 1980. TOS has produced numerous television and radio programs for both the Canadian and International markets and has served as a consultant in sports promotion and broadcast for many major corporations.

Bob lives in Toronto with his wife Christina. He has five children and two grandchildren.
