Alex Docking is one of Saskatchewan's most experienced broadcast journalists.  Born and raised in Winnipeg, Alex began his career in radio in Manitoba before moving to television.  He covered news for CTV National News and was News Director and supper-hour news anchor for CKCK-TV in Regina.

In his time with News Talk Radio, Alex has been a part of a number of award-winning stories and projects.  He anchored Canada’s top radio newscast in 2005 for medium market cities. He also anchored our award winning coverage of a tornado and torrential rainstorm in the Regina area in July of 2001. Alex anchored and directed our award winning team coverage of the Amber Alert issued for an abducted Whitewood boy in the summer of 2006.

Involved in the community, Alex is vice chair of the Salvation Army Community Advisory Board in Regina, and he and his wife Jill are active members of the Celebration Lutheran Church.  They also sponsor two children through Compassion Canada -- one in Mexico, the other in Thailand.  Both Alex and Jill love to travel whenever the opportunity arises. They have made several memorable trips – including a spectacular journey to Thailand in 2007.
