A 26-year-old man is dead after being hit by a car Saturday morning.

It happened at around 4 a.m. on the Gordon First nation. That's about an hour north of Regina.

Police say the man was walking along a poorly lit grid road at the time. After hitting him, the driver apparently stopped and called 911.

The man died at the scene. We have yet to hear whether charges will be laid.
