PHOTOS/VIDEO: See inside Mosaic Stadium after renovations
The final touches are being done on the new Mosaic Stadium as we speak.
It's been a crazy few months, but all the renovations that were supposed to be done for Friday night's preseason game will be ready.
“I love it, it’s exciting, our players are excited our coaches are excited,” said Roughrider president and CEO Jim Hopson.
He says the only thing that won’t be ready is the suites, but they weren’t supposed to be ready until August.
“We’re very pleased. We’re just around thirty-three thousand right now with what we have here today, that number will go up when the suites come online.”
The stadium definitely has a different feel now. The new seats in the south and north end zones give the field more of a bowl feel and that’s something that head coach Corey Chamblin says is going to pump up the volume.
“Before the seats, it was already extremely loud so I can just imagine how it’s going to sound when we play,” Chamblin said.
The new seats aren’t the only things fans will notice as they walk into the stadium tomorrow night. A video and score board are up on the west side stands and, of course, the new Maxtron.
