The ballot for Mayor has dropped by one.

David Robert Loblaw announced on his official campaign website the he is stepping out of the race to become the next Mayor of Regina.

Loblaw was one of the first to enter the 2012 municipal election.

He said his decision to drop out was because his business is in a time of expansion and change and that it is not the time leave.

The Regina's current mayor, Pat Fiacco, announced in February that he would not be seeking another term.

Six names are still possibilities for the Oct. 24 elections.
