Regina Pats win over Moose Jaw to clinch playoff spot

The Regina Pats are in a playoff spot for the first time in four years.

The Pats won a 5 to 4 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors in an exciting game at the Brandt Centre on Friday.

Regina jumped out with a lead in the first period with goals by Jordan Weal and Kyle Burroughs. Kenton Miller of the Warriors answered with the first goal of a hat trick for the night.

The Warriors tied up the game in the second period and took the lead early in the third.

Rookie forward Morgan Klimchuk scored the game winning goal for the Pats with just over 4 minutes left in the third.

The Pats will face the Prince Albert Raiders in the next home game on March 14 at the Brandt Centre.
