PotashCorp knew they were having their second best year ever by the end of 2011's third quarter, after record exports and a good domestic market for potash.

President and CEO Bill Doyle said the year is now finishing slowly, and sees good things for 2012 and the future.

"We think the next few years we're going to be in the driver seat, and we're going to grow faster than any other company in our business," he said.

"We have all this new expansion capability coming on when the world needs it."

Doyle said 2012 marks the ninth year of the 12-year Potash expansion plan.
