A pediatric nurse said Friday she was in the right place at the right time to revive a 14-year-old girl who collapsed while dancing in the upper deck during a Kansas City Royals game.

Sam Sapenaro, 26, was working her second job as a member of Kauffman Stadium's K-Crew on Thursday night when a nearby fan yelled for help. Sapenaro said she rushed over and found the girl unresponsive and with no pulse.

CLEARWATER, Fla. - It's not unusual for a cat to get a hairball, but a 400-pound (180-kilogram) tiger needed help from veterinary surgeons when he couldn't hack up a soccer ball-sized hairball by himself.

The 17-year-old tiger named Ty underwent the procedure Wednesday at a veterinary centre in the Tampa Bay area community of Clearwater. Doctors said in a statement that they safely removed the 4-pound (1.8-kilogram) obstruction from Ty's stomach.

BEIJING, China - A mentally ill man attacked six primary school students and a woman with a cleaver in the latest of a string of attacks on Chinese schoolchildren, authorities said Wednesday.

All seven victims were in stable condition and a suspect was apprehended, according to a spokeswoman from the Maoming city government in the southern province of Guangdong who, like many Chinese bureaucrats, declined to give her name.

The attack took place as students were returning home Tuesday afternoon in a village on the city's outskirts.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Officials at two hospitals say they're treating nearly 60 patients, including more than a dozen children, after a massive tornado hit the Oklahoma City suburbs.

Integris Southwest Medical Center spokeswoman Brooke Cayot says 10 of 37 patients being treated there Monday are in critical condition. Twelve are serious and 15 are listed in fair or good condition.

Integris Southwest Medical Center spokeswoman Brooke Cayot (KAY'-ot) said 10 of 37 patients being treated at that facility Monday are listed in critical condition. Twelve are in serious and 15 others are listed in fair or good condition.

"They've got a lot going on right now, and I think their situation is a little bit different," Bruins coach Claude Julien said Thursday night after Boston beat the embattled Canadiens 2-1.
