On Friday afternoon I attended a funeral inside a Saskatoon church located on Spadina Crescent – a long and winding stretch of beautifully tree-lined riverfront. It was a hot and sunny summer afternoon; cruisers – both on foot, and on wheels – were out in full force.
Recently the John Gormley Live Show devoted an entire morning to covering Saskatchewan’s ongoing cleanup efforts in the aftermath of all the crazy storms.
That morning, as the show was airing and I was sitting at my desk pondering the next day’s show, the phone rings. An obviously outraged listener was on the line, huffing and puffing in my ear.
“I want to know where the Riders are!” she cried, a blast of righteous indignation through the receiver.
Right now?
I know I'm late to the game with this, but if you haven't already watched this, take three and a half deliciously wasteful summer minutes and prepare to be highly entertained.
I figured it was time to blog again, if anything just to prove that I still can.
Reasons for being awol are limited, and not really that interesting. One of the biggest reasons is a serious case of information/technology overload - FacebookTwitterGoogle...my constantly buzzing, never-working-properly BlackBerry (but try telling SaskTel that)...my iMac, iPad iTouch iDontgiveas**t...enough!
I haven’t blogged in forever. I’ve started quite a few, but then got too irritated, combined with a little bit of whocares? (that's the Haiti-experience talking)... to finish.
