--Can we start a pool as to whether not a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders will play ALL 18 games this year. Durant, Fantuz and Johnson are the latest ones to go down. This is getting ridiculous.
--Memo to the Riders: Can you please stop scheduling games on the night of wicked thunderstorms. Is it that or is the organization trying to re-capture the memory of last years Rain Bowl against the Eskimos.
--Was Saturday's game at Taylor Field(It will always be that way to me) one of the best games there in recent memory.
--I wonder if Tiger Woods watched the British Open
--Were you pulling for Greg Norman or did you expect what happened Sunday to happen.
--Why do I continue to golf or perhaps why do I pay to simply get frustrated
--So lets see, one submarine shop is offering a lobster sandwich for a rather exorbitant price and another one is offering large subs for just five bucks at nite. I wonder where my money is going when purchasing a sub.
In my opinion there is no better person in this country when it comes to reporting on the CFL than the Globe's Dave Naylor. You pretty much have to agree with everything he says in this column

--Darian Durant's days of holding the clipboard are over. What a debut!!
--If Hamilton can get their game on track, Jesse Lumsden could be the MVP of this league.
--Weston Dressler takes out coach Ken Miller on the sidelines and then gives him(and the Rider Nation) a heart attack by fumbling at the one. C'MON ROOKIE!!! :)
--In the NFL, Hamilton wins that football game and I honestly did not know the rule was different in the CFL. To be quite honest, I think the rule should be defence's football. Its not though and that is what matters.
I love it when baseball managers come out of the dugout to argue with the umps. Every year at least one manager in the minor leagues takes his act a little too far and last night Kash Beauchamp got what will be his 15 minutes of fame. Check it out

Of course this doesn't compare to Phillip Wellman who may have had the best managerial meltdown ever.
--The CFL has lost someone special with the death of Bob Ackles. His passion for the CFL game was unequalled.
--Two weeks in and Eric Tillman's worst fears have been founded. Whether it be one game or longer, CFL teams need two established quarterbacks and I'm not sold on either Darian Durant or Steven Jyles but with a week taking full reps that could change.
--The Rider offence owes the defence one after what happened Friday night at BC Place. What a performance by Richie Hall's D
I'm not sold on the Calgary Stampeders. Everyone has said how good the Stampeders are going to be this year with John Hufnagel calling the shots and how Hufnagel could do what Kent Austin did and that is be a former CFL quarterback that comes back to coach a Grey Cup champ in his first season. Its not going to happen. Thursday night proved why the Stampeders aren't going anywhere when it matters and that is the fact that while their offence is great, their defence is still a steaming pile of you know what.
