When a school closes, it seems people let their emotions get the best of them. Logic doesn't always end up playing a role in the thought process.
Take the closure of the school in Milden, SK. As you may have heard in our newscasts today, parents and village leaders are concerned over the school's closure.
As we enter grad season here in Saskatchewan (complete with the celebratory bush parties that accompany the occasion), I give you this little nugget of honesty. Your teen can’t hold his liquor. In fact, you couldn’t either when you were his age. And you did ‘many stupid things’, because that’s what ‘kids do’. (But I thought they were ‘young adults’?)
If you're like me, you're signed up for the e-mail service of one Canada's major airlines. You know the e-mail. "Cheap travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays! 50% off! Book by 11:59pm tonight!" But once you go to book the flight... you learn that your trip isn't nearly as cheap as you thought it'd be.
When I joined Facebook just over a year ago, a buddy of mine from Junior High had a number of Youtube videos posted to his profile which I watched with awe.
The only way I can describe these videos is "porn for adrenaline junkies."
If you go on Youtube, and search around... you'll find these videos. Guys on motorcycles... going 160, 180, 200 miles per hour on busy freeways and roads.

The wait is over.
Almost.
Blowing the lid off of Silicon Valley's worst-kept-secret of the past three months, Apple unveiled the iPhone 3G today at its annual World Wide Developers' Conference in San Francisco.
And... the big news.... the iPhone 3G (named for the technological protocol it uses for transmitting its signals) will be available in Canada. iDay is July 11th.
A few months ago, we embarked on the project to rebuild our News Talk Radio websites. You know... better... faster... easier... stronger.
Well, after a few months of hard work... and input from people like you... we are almost set to embark on a brand new web journey.
This weekend, we will be flipping the switch and launching new News Talk Radio websites in both Regina and Saskatoon. I am really pleased with how the sites have turned out and I am excited to see them go live. Here is just a short list of some of the changes you're going to find:
The List - Lukiwski Explained... Bye Bye Hillary... iPhone is Near
June 3rd, 2008
> Clarity. It's a great thing. Take today's appearance by Tom Lukiwski on John Gormley Live. He made it explicitly clear about what he meant in this apology two months ago.
I can assure you, Mr. Speaker, and all of my colleagues in this House, that I will spend the rest of my career and my life trying to make up for those shameless comments.*
Guess who was a no-show for the annual GLBT pride parade in Regina?

^^^This guy.^^^
A spokesperson for the GLBT community says that an invitation was sent to Tom Lukiwski's office, and via e-mail. But the parade organizers got no response. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Zero.
