While 50,000 people spent Sunday afternoon strolling through downtown Saskatoon celebrating the granddaddies of carbon-producers, the custom automobile, the We Are Many festival was limping to it's taxpayer funded conclusion on the other side of the river.

This picture was taken at 1:45pm on Sunday August 24th, from beside the mainstage -

On "John Gormley Live" today we debated the issue of whether governments should be liable for not warning gamblers that Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) have a "danger of dependence", as a Quebec lawsuit states.

Jack "Promises" Layton Back in Town

Canada’s NDP leader Jack Layton was back in Saskatchewan this week, the umpteenth time in months, trying to position his party for winning a seat – anything after the NDP has been shutout completely in the last two federal elections in Saskatchewan.

As news of yet another child pornography arrest surfaces -- this time the suspect is alleged to have been viewing pornography on his office computer at Saskatoon City Hall -- there are two things that everyone should know about pornography.

First, the Internet has done for deviant child sexual pornography what a warm summer rain does for mosquitoes.  It has provided the climate, opportunity and environment for perverts to flourish.

In what can only be charitably described as its usual self-justifying claptrap, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is now trying a little of its own historical revisionism even before the summer Olympics begins in Beijing.
