I am not a Tom Brady fan, never have been, I was a huge Drew Bledsoe fan, or as my buddy Pete calls him, the Human Statue, ( Because he was really really slow, and got sacked alot.) and in my eyes Tom Brady ended my man Bledsoe's career. So how good did I feel Sunday, as I watched Brady go down for the season? Pretty good.

This is strange for me, I have been a diehard Michigan Wolverines fan since the Fab 5 lost a couple National Championships in basketball with those sweet gangsta shorts. (Why don't you call another time out Chris Webber?) My favorite NFL players have always, and still are former Wolverines, including Desmond Howard, Charles Woodson, Tim Biakabutuka, Tyrone Wheatley, Anthony Thomas, Braylon Edwards, Marlin Jackson, hell, even Chad Henne. Notice who is not on this list? That's right, Tom Brady.

Now when most people love an NCAA team, they follow all their successful players into the show. Ever since Brady dethroned Bledsoe, I forgot all about his past at the Big House, where he donned the maize and blue. He was dead to me.

Now with Tom Brady officially gone for the season with an ACL tear, ( You can read the whole story by clicking on the picture of a torn ACL)  -

the reins of the NFL's former best team have been handed over to a guy named Matt Cassel. Now don't feel bad if you don't know this guy, he hasn't started a game since High School, seriously, don't believe me? Click on my Alma Mater's mascot the Aden Bowman Bear for proof -

So now the big question is this, what happens when Cassel bombs? Nothing. Everyone is expecting that to happen. But how about this, now stay with me here, gasp! He dominates, and everyone forgets about Tom Brady, or as I like to call it, Brady gets Bledsoed. How awesome would that be eh? Matt Cassel steps in, wins the league MVP award and all of a sudden everyone is saying, "Brady wasn't that good, I told you so, Brady sucks!" If that day ever comes, I will be the happiest girl at the prom!

Also, don't believe the hype about all these other guys coming in to start (Tim Rattay, Chris Simms), they are coming in to back up Cassel. How do I know that? He has been practicing with this team since he was drafted in 2005, he knows all his teamates very well, and from what I have read, they all like him, and are gonna play hard for him. So maybe my dream of Brady getting Bledsoed isn't as crazy as I thought.

So in closing, I would like to anounce that Matt Cassel is my new favorite quarterback! I really hope that he takes the Pats to the Super Bowl, and that really hurts me to say, because I hate the Patriots, I hate them more than Bill Bellichek hates ACLs, and the media! But that is how bad I want the Golden Boy to get a taste of his own medicine.

I honestly can't wait till the day comes, if it ever comes, when someone says " Hey, remember Tom Brady?" and the answer is "Who? Is he related to Wayne?"
