Lululemon Madness

Gentlemen, to the best of my ability I will try to explain the Lululemon phenomenon that has hit Regina.

Lululemon is the line of yoga clothing that is all the rage with girls and women, young and old.  Near as I can tell – it consists of stretchy pants and stretchy shirts.  In this province the only store is in Saskatoon, so when the Queensbury Centre opened up for a 4-day sale of some 20,000 sq ft. of clothing – the race was on.

Party Train!

This one is for “Gentleman” Jim Hopson, the President and CEO of the Riders – originally suggested by Glen Suitor to News Talk’s Wray Morrison over dinner in Edmonton.

Cue “Party Train” by The Gap Band…  How about a train running from Saskatoon to the gates of Taylor Field at Mosaic Stadium for Rider games?

Think Of The Children!

Ok, I know that the kids going back to school will come as a relief for some parents – for others, not so much.

But, riddle me this.  Why are they going back before the Labour Day Weekend?  Perhaps an argument could be made for an early return if the holiday fell several days later – but why now?

Big A** Sandwiches

This is day 7 of renovations at my home as I get set to welcome some very special people into my life.  Renovation ripple has struck of course – a relatively simple exercise has turned into a weeklong (and counting) marathon.

Basically for the last week I have been surviving on 3 or 4 hours sleep, Gatorade (it’s hot in the attic) and Big A** Sandwiches.  You know the ones I mean – you can pick them up at Safeway and they probably tip the scales at about 5 pounds.

I Feel Like I'm 5.

When I was 5 years old, my brother slammed my hand in the car door.  To this day the jury is out on whether it was intentional or not – but the damage was done.

I was in Grade 1, just learning to print.  After I got back from the hospital (where they fixed me up with a splint for the last two fingers on my right hand) I tried, with very little success, to print the small “e” many times on my writing tablet.  I blame this traumatic experience for my poor penmanship to this day.
