This morning I spoke with author John Geiger, who together with Owen Beattie wrote the book Frozen In Time, after they ventured to the Arctic in the 1980's to try and get answers to the fate of the Franklin Expedition of 1845. This photo is one of Franklin crewmember John Torrington, who had died not long after their ships, the Erebus and Terror became trapped in ice. Today,Parks Canada launched a 6 week expedition to the Arctic to try and find the sunken remains of  the ships.
